Chadwell students triumph at Shakespeare Schools Festival!

Year 9 students enjoyed a rapturous reception for their production of 'Othello' at the Broadway Theatre in Barking last Wednesday evening. Many weeks of hard preparation culminated in our students taking to the stage alongside three other local schools to present an abridged thirty-minute version of Shakespeare's famous play.

Our students rose to the challenge of performing in a professional theatre and brought great energy and commitment to their performances. They should all feel incredibly proud of their achievement. 

The Shakespeare Schools Festival is the world's largest youth drama festival and aims to use the unique power of performance to develop young people's self-esteem, articulacy, literacy and teamwork; skills that transform lives.
