Head of Year: Mrs S. Tunnicliff
It is a privilege to be able to continue to lead a promising cohort of pupils through success at Chadwell Heath Academy. This Year 8 cohort is a remarkable group and continues to embrace the values and ethos at Chadwell Heath Academy.
We would like to see each and every member of the Year 8 community take full advantage of the opportunities provided, overcome challenges that will come their way and cultivate healthy relationships with peers and staff.
Our vision as a year group is to cultivate good character, demonstrate academic prowess and continually develop crucial lifelong skills. This vision holds a mindset upon recognising strengths and building upon weaknesses with resilience.
As a year group, we believe that persistently putting our best effort into everything we do supersedes talent, genetics or luck.
As a school community, we applaud pupil achievement both in and outside of school in the form of weekly assemblies. There is particular praise for attendance, effort, sporting success and curricular progress. Every pupil in the Year 8 cohort has the opportunity to achieve.

Year 8 parents evening is scheduled for the 28th of March 2019, it is absolutely important that you make time to attend this evening where you have the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their subject teachers.
To form an environment where a young person can flourish requires a collaborative approach. I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and guardians for their support. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss your child’s progress or wellbeing outside the important dates specified.
It is with great pleasure that I continue to support the Year 8 cohort who have proven to be proud ambassadors of Chadwell Heath Academy. I look forward to seeing this cohort grow cohesively as a community.
