Sixth Form students are role models for the rest of the school and need to be smartly presented all the times. School is a place of work and the Sixth Form Dress Code should reflect high aspirations and a desire for excellence.

Clothing should be suitable for a formal, business environment:

  • Smart Suit with formal trousers or skirts or dress and jacket
  • Button through shirt with a collar – any colour
  • Smart cardigans or jumper
  • Tie optional
  • Formal smart shoes

 Items not allowed:

  • No headwear except for religious purposes
  • No short skirts, shorts, tracksuit bottoms, denim, elasticated leg hems, cargo trousers
  • No t-shirts, polo shirts
  • No hoodies, sweat shirts or track suits tops
  • No trainers (including black trainers) –e.g vans, converse, timberland
  • No outdoor coats inside the building

To ensure the health, safety and security of all members of the school community it is essential that all students can be recognised. Therefore identity badges must be worn and be visible at all times. Moreover clothing which obscures an individual’s full face is not allowed.  NB Some subjects such as Dance, Physical Education and Drama require specific clothing in addition to this code.

Failure to comply with the dress code will result in the students being sent home to change.
